Had his best start of the year against Wichita State. Took a tough loss in his first game, allowing two hits over six innings to Rice in a 3-1 loss (2/24). (2008): Started 13 games as a true freshman.
UC Davis, allowing two runs over 7.2 innings while striking out five with no walks (5/2). Earned a third win with 7.0 innings at Pacific scattering nine hits (4/26). One out short of a complete game vs UC Riverside, going 8.2 innings while giving up one unearned run in his second win of the season (4/4). UNLV with two strikeouts and no walks (3/28). Picked up a no decision in his first start against USC, throwing 7.0 shutout innings, giving up three hits and striking out five (2/21). Showed great control with 42 strikeouts to just 13 walks. Worked mainly as the Saturday starter for Long Beach State.
Long Beach State (2009): Led the Dirtbag pitching staff with 14 starts.
